Today is my wedding anniversary, 8 years as husband and wife. Do I still feel the same after just 8 short years, Yes. My heart still skips when he puts his key into the door to open it. I still count the hours down till he comes home. I will still do anything to try and please him. He still makes me laugh. He is still my best friend. He has given me a beautiful daughter. He is a outstanding father. He's been sick now with a sore throat for 3 days, so lets see if he'll be able to lift his head up today to say Happy Anniversary. He did give me a card earlier but told me to sign it because he was to weak to write his name, so could I do it for him. Is he going to make it to dinner. But I'm sure he'll come around later, when I'm asked to perform my wifely duties. Happy Anniversary GI Joe, may God continue to bless our marriage and family.

the day was great until my daughter invited some of the neighborhood kids over for dinner. My neighbor who is 7 yrs old and looks like Spanky from the little rascals (so I will call him spanky and I will write about him often) Sat at the table and passed gas during the meal until he finally ended up crapping in his pants. I threw him out, calmed down the rest of the gang and disinfected my kitchen. After dinner, everybody went outside to play and Spanky returned to play. All hell broke loose, I don't knew who started it, but Spanky was in the middle of it, using every 4 letter word used. And then the fight ended with him dropping his pants as usual. As his mother and father watched with a smile of pride on their faces, "that's our boy" Needless to say we where inside the rest of the evening.
GI Joe, still laying flap on the floor, with the medical book underneath his arm, only taking phone calls from mommy. I did get a response when I said the military needs him back on the front lines.
The visit from my mother in law on Sunday evening was short and sweet. She spent time with her son and explained to him it would be more healing for him to be back home. I told her I could have him packed up in a hour.
Tomorrow is another day.

Sunday April 29, 2007
I had a uneventful weekend. Saturday and Sunday my daughter played endless hours outside with all the neighborhood kids. My house is the appointed place to be. This has never been by my choice. But I would rather have my daughter at my home then somewhere else. The biggest crack up is these kids are 4 yrs and up and they all carry cell phones. Mommy's don't even come out of their homes anymore and should I say get off of their behinds. They just dial the child or text the child.
And my poor GI Joe (husband) has had a sore throat over the entire weekend. So for 48 hours he is laying around, with a medical book underneath his arm and moaning. Is it me, but as a military man isn't he suppose to be able to endure-like bullets; tanks running over him; sitting in a hole for days with only a ant to eat. So I'm sure on Monday Mother In Law should be appearing to hint how her son has gone done hill since we've been married. Look for me soon on Dr. Phil. And the doorbell is ringing and guess who is on the other side of the door, my mommy in law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was able to get a glimpse today of Oprah, who had a guest on who was saying that, what we put out is what we get back. I had to laugh. Not to sound negative or anything, but in my past life, I must have been some kind of serial killer or something. Everyday is some sort of unbalanced shipwreck.
My day started out ok, the usual. Then it hit me that I had a dental appt. I am terrified of the dentist. So I spent the rest of the day watching the clock till it was time to get my daughter from school and rush to my appt. As I'm sitting in the chair, experiencing a full blown panic attack, with the dentist talking to me in one ear, my daughter telling me about her day in the other ear and my husband (G.I. Joe) standing behind me, telling me to be a brave soldier. All I wanted to do was scream-EVERYBODY BE QUIET!! But instead my heart was pounding through my chest and the room started spinning. What happened next is that I threw up on everybody!! So after the embarrassment, the new filling, clean up and running to the nearest exit. I then had to spend the ride home listening to Dr. Phil (my husband) and mini Oprah (my daughter) expressing to me, that I have to get a better grip on my life and will dinner be ready soon. I am looking forward to the weekend.

Thursday April 26, 2007
My day began at 5:30am. Running around doing the usual, folding and putting away laundry, feeding all of the pets. Getting everybody ready to start our day. As I have 30 mins left before my daughter has to be on a bus. I can not find the car! My husband will sometime decide I'm not getting exercise because incase of a military emergency, I am the weakest link. And I thought the saying was no man left behind. He will sometimes park the car, 2-4 blocks away from the house and I have to look for it. So as I'm running around the neighborhood, waving at neighbors, but silently saying every 4 ltr. word I could think of. I found the car and got my daughter to the bus stop with a min. to spare. So I passed basic training this morning. And with that min. to spare as I was standing there with the other well put together mommys. I appeared totally out of my mind and I guess the 2 different types of shoes that I was wearing did not help. All I could think of was I can't wait to get home. But my daughter hugged me goodbye and whispered in my ear " Mommy don't be mad at Daddy, maybe he still thinks he's in the army" So in all the confusion my daughter summed it up, Daddy is crazy, so maybe with my hair sticking straight up in the air and my 2 different pairs of shoes on I realized I'm not the weakest link.
