 Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all! Saturday Sophia spent all day on the trails with some of her friends riding their dirt bikes and quads. My 7 yr old angel has a thing for speed and drives her quad to the limit. As I stand there with my heart in my throat watching her fly in the air and praying that she comes down in one piece. She is so mcuh like her father. Sophia looks like my husband, acts like my husband, thinks like my husband, same hand gestures and everything. But it was the strangest moment yesterday, as she removed her helmet, I saw a glimpse of me in her face. She looked at me and for the first time in 7 years I saw me!!! Of course I had to walk away so all the men there, wouldn't see Mommy breaking down. Besides I needed to go behind a tree to itch. This case of chicken pox is wearing me out. Sophia wants to spend today back on the trails. So that's where we'll be today. Maybe my husband will allow me to take his quad for a spin. But my biggest joy is to watch my daughter and my husband, speed by me, side by side. I wish all Mommies A Happy Mothers Day!!! Cherish all moments, love all minutes, they grow so fast. My daughter has taught me so much in 7 years, she has taught me to talk chances, how to be patient, how to love, how not to be selfish and how to laugh and cry. God has truly blessed me with this Angel. Enjoy your day Mommies!!!!

 shedding a tear

I'm not having a good week. My daughter is complaining of a sore throat now. She tossed and turned all night. Wednesday evening I had a meeting to go to. I come home and my female neighbor is over. Why, you ask-I'm asking the same thing. Am I upset-Yes I'm very upset. I trust my husband, but temptation is temptation. You dangle candy someone will eventually eat it, right. And she dangles all of her candy!!!!! And alot of people have taken a bite out of her muffins. And this is not the first time she has dangled one of her candy bars in front of my husband. I am furious that I had to question my daughter about what went on in my home. I was told that they just sat at the kitchen table and talked. And Miss hot pants, had the nerve to knock on my door again last night, because she thought I wasn't home. I can't even respond or fight back at this time. I have the chicken pox, so I'm one big itchy pimple and bedridden. GI Joe is walking on egg shells. The sad part my husband feels she 's just being friendly. H-E-L-L-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm friendly to, but you don't see me dangling my sweet tarts in anybodies face. Tomorrow is another day, right.

 I rode the school bus

My daughter went back to school yesterday. The poor baby suffered with pink eye, a ear infection and a sinus infection. But she's up and about. Even though Mommy is close to dropping from a lack of sleep. I'm kind of upset today. We have a neighbor who is a year older then my daughter. Her family are born again christians and are very strict with their children. But when their daughter is away from them, wild is not the world to discribe this child. I know one day I'm going to see her head spin (get the picture). When it comes to my daughter and her protection, I've been compared to a bit bull. I'm very friendly with the parents and I tried to discuss the matter with them. They gave me the "not my child look!" So today at the bus stop, I politely asked all the children to be nice to one another on the bus. This child screamed back at me "Whatever!" and did that neck thing, with the flip of the hand. Let me tell you, my blood pressure went so high, I almost went into the light!!!!!!! I whipped around to look at the mother of this child, I just knew she was going to smack her with the good book. And it is taking every once of me to calm down. The mommy said nothing, did nothing, she stood there adjusting her hair weave and plucked off a few pop tart crumbs that had rested on her breast. So I boarded the bus and rode the bus to school. I wanna know why parents no longer discipline their children? What happened to the level of respect children should have for themselves and adults. So now I realize I'm riding the bus and I've probably embarrassed my daughter. Getting off the bus, she hugged and kissed me goodbye and thanked me for watching out for her. Thank God I didn't embarrass her. And yes the poor bus driver had to bring me home, with a lecture that it was illegal for me to be on the bus, but if I want to ride again, all I have to do is bring him a cup of coffee with a plain bagel and he'll left me slide.

 My baby is sick

My baby is home sick from school today. I'm pretty sure it's pink eye. I'll know more after the doctors visit. When she is not feeling good my spirit is crushed. She plays with something for a moment, then lays down. I want to cry, as a mommy I want to shield and protect her from everything including not feeling good. I'm just praying for the rest of the day that my house will stay quiet and that someone will return my call to take my place as traffic mom today. Otherwise I have to make Dad come home from work to stand in the middle of a busy intersection.

It has to be the full moon!!!!

My house was totally crazy yesterday. My day started off fighting with my husband. Then I had to run to the school to be lunch mom and class mom. My husband shows up at the school to continue the disagreement. I rush home leaving him in the parking lot, because I have cake orders to fill. I start the cake orders and its time to go to the bus stop to get my daughter. The doors on the bus open, my daughter is standing there screaming. A scream that could break glass. After going through the what's wrongs and the what happened. She calms down enough to tell me a sticker is missing from her folder. I am close to stroke level by this time. We get home, GI Joe meets us at the door with his army uniform on, telling me if I want to go to war he's ready. I look past him because I see smoke, MY CAKES!!! At this time, I'm hoping to step on a land mine. I now have to remake the cakes, my daughter asks to mix the batter. As I'm pouring the batter into the cake molds, I'm seeing things in the batter. I pull out one of the things, its a cricket. My daughter put some of her crickets into the batter, she thought it would look pretty. Lets remake the cakes for the 3rd time. Doorbell rings its my neighbor with high heels on and a short mini skirt on. She throws her 2 kids in my door and tells me as she's running to her car, she can't cope, she needs a hour alone. Liar!! she's on her way to get laid. 5 mins later the doorbell rings, its my sister in law, with her friends and their children. I now have a house full of people. My head is spinning, but I'm still in control. Doorbell rings, its another neighbor crying, she doesn't understand why the kids in the neighborhood make fun of her son. I listen and smile, but in the back of my mind, I'm saying your son is 10 years old and you allow him to wear dresses and a wig. IS IT ME!!!!!! Finally everybody leaves and the house is quiet. I'm able to catch and hold my daughter in my arms, as she is falling asleep. She tells me how much she loves me. At that moment all the garbage that took place during the day no longer matters. I shed a tear and thank God that I was blessed with this amazing child. The cake orders were finally completed. I go to lay my head on my pillow and I look over at my husband who is sound asleep holding a tiny american flag in his hand. It has to be the full moon.
