Sophia is playing in her room with a friend. Of course Mommy has nothing better to do, but listen. Christina {the Friend}: "Sophia, does your mom ever have a guy come over to fix the sink when the water won't go down"
Sophia: "no, my daddy's brother is a plumber, he fixes everything for free"
Christina: "Sophia, does he lay on top of your mommy"
Sophia: "NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! that's gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sophia: "why"
Christina: "Its a secret, Sophia, you can not tell anyone"
Sophia: "ok"
Christina: "I came home from school and I heard my mom in the bedroom, I opened the door and the plumber was on top of my mom, they were both nude. And my mom was screaming"
Sophia: "what does that mean, do you have a sink in bedroom, did you tell your dad"
Christina: "I can't, my mom told me that if I tell my dad, santa will not come to our house anymore"
Sophia: "well don't put alot of stuff in the sink and he won't be back"
Christina: "ok, but my mom told him to come back next week"
Sophia: "when my uncle comes over to fix our sink, i'll check to see if he takes all of his clothes off"
Christina: "ok"
Sophia: "maybe that's what plumbers do, my uncle is always telling my dad, he has a big pipe"
Christina: "do you want to play dolls"
Out of the mouths of babes!!!!!! Check off another house Sophia can't go to!!!!!

GI Joe and his brother decided to put a pool in our backyard. Sophia has been jumping for joy. Do I want the pool, no, no, no! With the amount of kids in my neighborhood, I just don't want to be a watchdog all summer. But Joe and his brother, pick out a huge pool and then get this, Dumb and Dumber decide they can put it up themselves. The pool was up and filled. The pool did not look level to me, but Dumb and Dumber didn't want to hear it. Sophia invites friends over to swim this weekend. The kids are swimming and having lots of fun. Mommy just has a feeling, to me the pool just doesn't seem stable. I bring it to the attention of Dumb and Dumber again, but they are laid back on the lounge chairs, celebrating the job well done. What! What! What! do I hear. A noise! No! can't be, the noise is coming from the pool. BOOM!!!!!!! Its a tsumani! The pool exploded! Dumb and Dumber didn't level anything! Being the superwoman that I am. I'm running, screaming, cursing, trying to grab kids and get my hands around Dumb and Dumber necks. But I was swepted up and slammed into the fence. Now I know what it means when people say "I saw stars," As my husband, Bob the Builder peeled me from the fence. I noticed my arm is looking really weird, but my concern is my daughter and her friends, which were ok and thought it was a great ride.
Needless to say we are waiting for the pool company to come and level the ground and put up the pool. I spent last night in the emergency room, they had to snap my wrist back in place and there's a minor fracture. There's just never a dull moment.
But on a happier note, Sophia's magic garden looks great, she has tomatoes already, but she keeps plucking them off the bush to throw at me.

The universe works in mysterious ways, the evening that I was going to have tea with Candy Pants, I got word that one of my daughters classmates was just killed. I'm on the city board, so I had to be escorted to the family, with a police officer. This was a horrible, freak accident. This little boy, was walking with his grandma to get a slice of pizza. When he tripped on something and fell over the guard rail, as the grandmother was trying to grab him, a truck ran over him. He was killed instantly and the grandmother remains in the hospital in shock. My daughter, her school and our community is grieving. We are working hard to pay for this families medical expenses and buriel arrangements. They are foreigners who recently moved to this country.
So mommy's hold your children near and dear to you! Take the moment to answers their questions, take the moment to sit down and listen to them. Laugh with them, cry with them. Don't let a day go by where you don't celebrate their importance. These babies are gifts from God and we have to embrace and cherish the time we have with them. We are only here for a short time and tomorrow is not promised to any of us. So the moments we have with these gifts, let them be filled with joy, peace and love.
It's amazing to me. how one moment you can be focused on your own problems and heartache. And in the long run, there is always someone else in more pain and someone else more in need of. My time with Candy Pants, will come. I will get the opportunity to talk to her. But I'm not going to allow this negative energy to engulf my home anymore. I will pray for her and her family. I will continue to focus and honor my family. Through the grace of God, peace will be brought back into my home. But now my moments and my focus are spent holding my daughter and embracing this incrediable gift that God entrusted me with.
Pray for our children who have to endure so many heartaches and pain at such early ages.

He walks to the door to answer it. She says that her computer isn't working, could she check her email. She then asks where is Cheyenne. He answers and walks her to the computer. She then tells him she needs help. She sits down next to him and leans towards him. After a second or two, she thanks him and walks towards the door.
Minutes later she is at the door again. She tells him that she would like to place a order for a sheet cake. She asks again, am I home. He tells her no and that she should come back, when I'm home. She tells him, that she wants to look through my portfolio of my cakes and she does not have alot of time, so she would rather do it now. He invites her in and then he goes into the kitchen to get my books. She screams can she have something to drink. He says ok and the phone is ringing. Hmm! its me on the phone! and my big mouth is going on and on and on. Which gives Candy Pants in the other room, time to take off her shirt and drop her pants and sit on my furniture and claw at her cat box several times.(Memo to me: make all phone calls, brief!). He hangs up with me and walks back into the room, with my books and a drink for her. She jumps up, he asks what are you doing, get dressed. She tells him, that I'm a bore and she knows what he likes. He replies, get on your clothes. She walks over to him and tries to grab his thing. He grabs her hand and tells her to get dressed and leave. He starts to walk to the door. She jumps infront of him and bends over and tells him to hurry. He pushes her aside and walks out the door. She screams at him. She then looks around, scratches the cat box one more time, spits on my floor, gets dressed, then leaves.
Moments later he re-enters the house. Says the F word several times and makes a phone call. He is on the phone explaining to someone what happened. Time passes, his brother shows up. He explains again, what happened and then they go outside.
Tonight, after I put Sophia to bed, I am going to Candy Pants house for tea!!!
I do find humor in everything, Thank God, I guess that is my way of coping. From the time she took off her clothes and got dressed. She did a scratch and sniff thing at the cat house several times. I keep telling everybody she has fleas and now I have proof. That Cat Box is not up to code!!!!
I also want to thank all of you for your wonderful messages and words of encouragement. I'm still weathering a storm but time will tell.

The neighborhood appears very quiet to me. I hear no cars. I hear no children. He brings me flowers, without words. They sit in a vase. He tells me I'm beautiful, but I don't feel it. There is no other communication. I keep my focus on Sophia.
Evening comes we have to go to a family dinner. I dress the part, I carry the perfect dessert. Before the door opens, I straighten the bow on Sophia's dress. I take a deep breath, his hand reaches for my hand. The door opens. Its showtime!! During the evening he tells his family how lucky he is to have us. He is very attentive to me the rest of the evening. I hold back tears, as I continue to play the part. Another perfect evening.
We return home in silence. I put Sophia to bed. I spend the night sitting beside her bed. Watching her sleep, watching her breath, watching her every movement. I take in and absorb every moment of her. He appears, still no words, exchanged. I feel him standing behind me, I can hear him breathing. I silently asked myself why doesn't he have anything to say, Where are the sorry's. What happened in my house? Did he forget the video camera's throughout our home. Now my reality is to get my act together, to review what happened in our home.
